Risk Management Services

Risk Assessment

Our company is dedicated to providing excellent risk assessment services to all our clients. With a deep understanding of the importance of risk management in today's rapidly evolving business landscape, we strive to help our clients identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks that may impact their operations.

Risk assessment in its broad definition is a structured procedure that evaluate qualitatively and/or quantitatively the level of risk imposed by the hazard sources identified within the installation. We employ a systematic approach to identify potential risks, taking into account both internal and external factors that could affect their business.

In other words, risk assessment is a systematic procedure for describing and quantifying the risk associated with hazardous substance, processes, actions or events.

Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)

Process Hazard analysis is a systematic, thoroughly and mannerly approach to identify, control and evaluate possible hazardous scenario in the process.

PHA services offered by Green Circle Inc. are as follows:

  1. Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP)
  2. Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA).
  3. What-If Analysis
  4. Hazard Identification Study (HAZID)
  5. Bow-Tie Analysis
  6. FMEA and many more…

Hazard & Operability Study (HAZOP)

HAZOP study is to carefully review a process or operation in a systematic manner to determine whether deviations from the design or operational intent can lead to undesirable consequences.

This technique can be used for continuous or batch processes and can be adopted to evaluate written procedures. It enables to identify corrective actions in the form of additional controls and recommendations to be put in place to either eliminate or mitigate hazards.

Requirements in HAZOP:

  1. PFD’s
  2. P&IDs for Process & Utilities
  3. HSE Risk Matrix and Response Chart
  4. Material Specifications and Selection Charts
  5. Cause and Effect Diagrams
  6. Heat and Mass balances
  7. Operations and Maintenance Manual

HAZOP Team

  1. Chairman
  2. Scribe (Recorder)
  3. Production Manager
  4. Project Manager
  5. Chemical Engineer
  6. Maintenance Engineer
  7. Electrical Engineer
  8. Instrument Engineer
  9. Quality Control Engineer
  10. Safety Manager

Role of Green Circle Inc. in HAZOP study:

  • Facilitate the Study
  • Suitable Simulation tool and Standard Guide
  • Derive meaningful results through interactions & Technical Discussions
  • Record and Submit the Outcome in form of Report

QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment)

QRA is widely used in assessing the risk in Oil & Gas Installations especially refineries, tank farms, cross country pipelines, bottling plants, terminals etc.  Additionally, QRA is used to estimate the risks to public.

QRA will assist you 2 ingredients of risk:

  1. Consequence
  2. Probability

Methodology:

  1. Study plant layout and Storage Capacity
  2. Software (DNV Phast & SAFETI)
  3. Identify Hazard
  4. Prepare Report
  5. Submission

Study report is used to understand the significance of existing control measures and to follow the measures continuously. Wherever possible, additional risk control measures are to be adopted to reduce the risk levels.

Standard we refer  "The Purple Book" - Guidelines for Quantitative Risk Assessment.

PSM (Process Safety Management)

The major aim of PSM is to develop plant systems and procedures to prevent unwanted releases. PSM also address issues related to the Operability, Productivity, Stability, and Quality output of processes. Reduce exposure to lawsuits, penalties, public liability claims, and hikes in insurance premiums.

PSM is an effective safety management system that helps to prevent fires, explosions and toxic releases that could expose employees and others to serious hazards in process industries.

Green Circle, Inc. employs the Risk Based Process Safety (RBPS) guidelines developed by Centre for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and OSHA PSM guidelines

Services offered by Green Circle Inc.

  • PSM Gap Analysis
  • PSM Implementation
  • PSM Training

HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment)

HIRA stands for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment. It is a systematic process used to identify potential hazards, assess their associated risks, and determine appropriate control measures to mitigate those risks.

  • Hazard Identification: This involves identifying and documenting potential hazards within a given system, activity, or environment. Hazards can be physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, or psychosocial factors that have the potential to cause harm or damage.
  • Risk Assessment: Once hazards are identified, a risk assessment is conducted to evaluate the likelihood and severity of harm or adverse effects associated with each hazard.

Our company takes pride in delivering unparalleled HIRA services to our esteemed clients, ensuring the highest level of excellence in hazard identification and risk assessment.
